Respite care is for the Family Caregiver who cares for a loved one within the family home and may require to plan and prearrange temporary, short term breaks away from their loved one to de-stress, rest and regain strength and balance in their live.

Respite is also used by the Family Caregiver when dealing with a personal emergency crisis and is unable to provide proper care to their loved one.  However, emergency respite care is usually non-existent creating further stress for the Family Caregiver.

Respite care for a loved one can be either within the home or placement of their loved one outside of the home.
